The influence mutual relationships between nations is predominantly visible in phraseology each language. article deals with occurrence certain multiword expressions, phraseologisms, e.g. collocations, idioms, idiomatic comparisons originated source English origin, i.e. British and American quotations well-known writers, philosophers, politicians, etc. analysis focuses contrastive approach to Slovak phraseology.
